A garden house, a wooden house in the garden, or a gazebo could be the perfect solution for your perfect garden gym.

A private gym in the garden shed is a win for both lifestyle and fitness. True, there are numerous activities you can do outside in summer.

Whether you go swimming, play badminton, jog, hike, or ride a bike… There are choices but most people will do it just occasionally.

But with a private garden gym, you will have a routine. While public fitness studios currently charge a hefty monthly fee and you have limited space at home, garden gyms are becoming cheaper.

There are a lot of devices and equipment that you could get for your garden in order to turn it into a great gym.

Dress Code

In your garden shed, you put on what is most comfortable for you. Whether boxer shorts or swimming trunks – whatever you like. If you set up your garden shed so that no neighbor can look in it you can even do it naked.

Freedom in fitness training, your name is the garden gym! But don’t forget, footwear is not optional. High-quality shoes like those you can see if you take a look here – https://www.walkjogrun.net/ will protect not just your knees but your back, too.

If you plan to exercise when the weather is colder, you can. For this, you are going to need a light jacket and some sweatpants.

Make sure these are made from activewear materials which will keep the sweat off you. Don’t let the cold weather stop your training regimen.

Your Own Peace and Quiet

The fact is that the fitness studio in the garden house will give you the motivation to really exercise every day. That means you will have noticeable success in raising your fitness level. And that is priceless.

In your garden gym, you can work out at 2 in the morning if you want.

You can invite friends; train with your partner or alone. You are the boss and can work on your body in peace and quiet, without glances or comments from strangers.

What Equipment do You Need?

The answer to this question depends, of course, on what types of training you want to do. If you only have some weights, an exercise mat, and a fitness bench, you already possess enough workout gear.

Even if you couldn’t add a bike or treadmill to it, you would already have some serious exercise equipment.

There are a few things to keep in mind when choosing home gym equipment. First, we need to know what goals you are trying to achieve.

Do you want to build muscle and strength, or do cardio? Many people have their garden gym for recreational purposes.

Strength Training

You have a few options here. Weights are one of the most important items, both dumbbells, and single lever weight bars. With these, you will be able to cover a good deal of arm, biceps, and triceps training.

If you already have the weights you can easily add a fitness bench to increase the variations of your exercises. A universal pull-up/dip machine would be a great addition to your garden gym.

Cardio Training and Fitness

When it comes to performing fitness training as well as losing fat, there is not much dilemma about the equipment you can use.

First of all, there are treadmills, seated exercise bike, orbiters, and even steppers. So it’s your choice. Choose what works best for you.

All this equipment does not require any special experience and knowledge so anyone can use it. With this equipment, you will improve your cardio, lose weight, relieve stress, and have fun.

Fitness Equipment for Recreation

There are no special rules for choosing fitness equipment for recreation. You can choose whatever works best for you. This can be a combination of weight or cardio training devices.

With all these choices, a great addition to the gym would be some sort of a crunch bench. It may be one of the “less popular” devices, but good abs are one of the most important muscle parts.

They are also the pride of all those who want to have a healthier look and a better posture.

Quality is a very important factor when choosing fitness equipment for any purpose. When choosing your own the following factors are: It should be safe to exercise with, be a good value for your money, be simple and easy to use, and should last longer and be durable.

Space-saving Methods

Whether you are making the gym in your house or a garden, space is always an important issue. For this reason, you should avoid space-consuming devices. If possible use devices that can be folded up when they are no longer needed.

An elliptical machine that can be used for many different muscle groups would also be an option. As an alternative, so-called bodyweight training can also be used to train all muscle groups without any equipment.

For such training, you only need a mat. If you are interested there are various instructions and training plans that are available on the internet.

You can install a shower in your private gym in the garden shed if it is worth the effort. Otherwise, just go back through your garden and take a shower in the house.

Choose a garden house with a veranda, then sit comfortably in a garden chair during the training breaks, sip a cool drink, and watch the birds in the garden.

Will it Pay Off?

A new garden house plus the necessary equipment does cost some money. The question is – does it pay off? Calculate how much you spend at a public gym, and how high are your travel costs back and forth.

How much time do you spend on travel each month? How often do you go to your gym? Is the investment paying off?

Now think about shared locker rooms, bathrooms, and equipment. How good is your focus in the gym? Do you have to wait for your turn to use machines? Now, multiply that calculation by years.

When you put it all together, your private gym will surely pay itself off. Imagine if you could just exercise at home, in the comfort of your beautiful garden.
