  • Apron
  • Gloves
  • Face mask
  • Rags
  • Paint thinner

How You Do It

Removing white rings takes less than an hour. We are easily describing the necessary steps you have to take.

  • First of all, you have to clean your floor using rags or mop. Dirt can cause you trouble while eliminating stains. So, it is important to take time in cleaning the area you are going to work on.
  • Get a paint thinner from the hardware store. Soak a clean rag with the thinner properly. Then, rub the rag on the stain for almost ten minutes.
  • After rubbing, wait for fifteen minutes. Get a dry rag now and gently rub the area two or three times.

Method of Removing Dark Stain

It is not so easy to remove dark stains from wooden floors. You need to give a lot of effort here. You also need to have quality stuff to bring perfection in your floor again like before.

But still, you can do the job without any difficulties if you know the right way. So, without any delay, let’s discuss the process.

Necessary Stuff You Need

Here is a list of items that you need for removing dark water stains from your floor.

  • Apron
  • Gloves
  • Face mask
  • Rags
  • Water
  • Airless paint gun
  • Wood finish
  • Sandpaper
  • Hydrogen peroxide or Chlorine bleach

How You Do It

You have to be patient in this case to get the desired result. Along with quality essential stuff, the process also requires your effort equally. In each step, you need to take enough time to completely remove the stain.

  • Like the first case, you have to clean the area well. You can use rags, mops, or anything to do this job.
  • After the cleaning, wear gloves, apron, and mask properly to go to the next step. Now, you need to take sandpaper. Start sanding the stained area until the layer of the old finish disappears.
  • You have to clean the area again after sanding. Then, check the area whether it is smooth or not. If the surface is rough, you need to do sanding again. After sanding, you also need to do the cleaning.
  • Now, get chlorine bleach for application on the stained area. You can also use Hydrogen peroxide instead of bleach.

Mix the solution with the right amount of water. Apply the mixture using small rags. Soak rags in the mixture and put them on the floor for about fifteen minutes.

  • After taking the break, check whether the stain has disappeared or not. If the stain remains, you need to follow the previous step again. But now, you have to use less water with the solution.
  • After the application of the bleach solution, wait for the floor to get dry. When it becomes dry, take a quality wood finish to give the floor a final touch.

You can use a sprayer or brush to cover the area where you have worked on. Finally, check the area again to see whether it is smooth like the rest of the floor or not. If it is not, then do a bit sanding for the last time.

Conclusion

Water stain on the wooden floor is not a serious issue at all. Taking the right step in the right way is the key to eliminate stains without hustling a lot. So, make sure you do the job in the right way with the right materials.
