For instance, people who have an uneven buildup of fat in certain areas of their body after pregnancy should get postpartum workout leggings for cellulite when preparing to get back to the gym/exercising.

Peradventure, you have noticed this build-up of fats but didn’t know whether or not they are cellulite.

I will intimate you with almost everything you need to know about cellulite in this article.

What Are the Causes of Cellulite?

The main cause of cellulite can still not be pinpointed to one particular factor. However, it is believed that the interaction of factors such as age, hormonal imbalance, lifestyle choices play a key role in causing this condition.

Are There Levels of Cellulite?

Yes, there are. From the severity scale, cellulite can be classified into 3 levels. From level 1 to level 3, the severity of cellulite increases. The three levels are

Level 1

Cellulitis in this grade shares an appearance that’s similar to an orange peel. Here you will find less than 5 depressed skin layers.

Also, with slightly sagged skin. Thismildest level of cellulite.

Level 2

here, the cellulite has less than 10 depressions and the skin appears to be sagging too. The degree of depression and sagged skin are considered to be moderate i.e. deeper than level 1.

Level 3

More than 10 skin depressions can be found here. And the skin is also severely draped. This is the most severe case of cellulite there is.

Now that we have an idea of what cellulite is, should you be worried? Cellulite is not a condition without a cure. So there is a silver lining of hope for you.

Treatments for Cellulite

There are both medical and do-it-yourself tasks you can do to get rid of your cellulite.

  • Exercising

Exercises are a big way to get rid of fats, once there is a reduced buildup of fat, the body looks trimmer and the cellulite become less noticeable.

But you will need to engage in exercises that have a mix of strength training and aerobic exercises to achieve desirable results and of course wear postpartum workout leggings for cellulite if you are a nursing mother.

  • Undergoing Carboxytherapy

This is a surgical procedure where Carbon dioxide is inserted under the skin. With this procedure, the cellulite may disappear but there are side effects like bruising which is not suitable for a nursing mother.

  • Endermologie

This procedure involves a deep massage of the skin with a device that’s similar to a vacuum. This procedure is considered safe for all.

  • Topical Treatments

Cream that contains caffeine or retinol is deemed to be effective in combating cellulite.

The downside is they have to be applied on a daily basis to achieve any noticeable result. Also, it just suppresses the size.
