Take one of the pins and bend 1/3 of it to make a hook shape. Do this on both sides in the same direction. Now, take another pin and bend it apart to make an L.
Stick up to 1 cm of the tip of the pin inside the car keyhole and bend again. While inserting the tension lever in the keyhole at the bottom, start turning it clockwise.
Now, all you’ve to do is exert pressure (neither too little nor too high). Meanwhile, you can insert the pick in the keyhole on the upper side, moving it up and down to pick up the combination.
A set of automotive bump keys are required in this method. It is one of the easiest lock picking methods; it depends on luck and can unlock car models before 2005.
Insert the jiggler (bump key) into the lock and besides producing some tension, keep moving the key up and down. Try different movements with a set of bump keys you have and be patient since it takes time.
A standard auto jiggler is called a double wafer which can be used for some modern cars as well if they don’t have the digital lock chip mechanism.
Does opening a locked car door with a shoestring sound crazy? Well, it works if your car door lock opens by pulling up.
Take a shoestring and tie a slip knot right in the middle of it without tightening the knot.
Then holding both ends of the shoelace, slide it from the upper corner of the door into your car. Try to make this loop reach around the lock and then tighten it to pull up. This method may need more than one attempt so, be patient and keep trying for a few more seconds.

However, it’s not just in movies but; you can certainly employ this method to pick a car lock. The principle to apply this method is almost similar to the wire coat hanger, only the picking tool is different hence, called slim jim.
The slim jim is a 1.5 to 2 ft long, flat metal sheet. We use it the same way as a wire coat hanger by inserting it inside the weather stripping and the car window.
The aim is to find the locking mechanism, so you keep the metal sheet pulling up and under the door lock. When you see the car lock moving, move the slim jim around and lift it, so the lock opens.
Again, this method is effective for traditional-style locks that have an upright locking mechanism.
Caution: It’s one of the dangerous methods as there are chances of damaging your car if you don’t handle the tools carefully.
What you have to do is find a rod with a hook at one end and a screwdriver. Placing the screwdriver between the car’s body and the door, you have to exert some force to move the door a bit apart.
This is to produce a small gap so you can slide the rod inside the car and access the unlock button to press it. Hurrah! The lock will be opened in less than a minute.
