What are the Main Topics in CCNA?

Cisco ensures that passing the CCNA test remains prestigious by preserving the difficulty level of the CCNA examination and transforming the examination sample regularly.

With the difficulty level as it is and the extensive test curriculum, students should understand what disciplines they need to focus on to pass the CCNA examination.

To learn more here about topics covered in the Cisco CCNA test and what you can expect to learn from them. We have stated the key ideas that you are to learn from those core disciplines.

We recommend that students no longer utilize this as an examination curriculum because not all examination goals are listed. Instead, the list is a supplement to the examination, which may get used to taking the test after you have covered the essential topics in the CCNA core courses.

TCP/IP and the OSI Model

The term “Open Systems Interconnection” refers to a method of standardizing communication inside network systems. The CCNA test demands that you comprehend how this system separates contact into levels and how these layers communicate.

Although the Transfer Control Protocol and the Internet Protocol are two distinct network-based models, they are both used to demonstrate how ordinary online data transmission works. Understanding how both functions work is critical for any CCNA course you take.

IPv6

IPv6 is an abbreviation for “Internet Protocol Version 6.” This newest version of the internet protocol provides more different IP addresses.

They are required as organizations expand. Most organizations today use IPv6. Thus, to be a valued asset as a technician, you must grasp IPv6.

Subnetting

A typical networking approach that separates networks into smaller components is subnetting. Each subnet has a unique IP address that communicates with the whole set of subnets.

It is in networks for a variety of reasons. One reason is that when issues develop, they are easier to diagnose and isolate. Second, you may work on a problem without affecting the rest of the network.

Network Address Translation

Network Address Translation (NAT) is the technique of altering IP addresses between two incompatible systems during transmission. As BYOD (Bring Your Device) grows increasingly prevalent in workplaces, it is becoming more common.

Basic NAT connects a user’s smartphone or tablet to the network and permits them to access network data. Although, CCNA classes include fundamental NAT procedures. There are more advanced courses available if you wish to broaden your expertise.

What Exactly is the CCNA Certification?

Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) is an entry-level information technology (IT) certification for networking devices given by Cisco.

The CCNA tests your understanding of core networking principles. They are used in networking responsibilities in IT careers. To know more click to find out more.

How to Obtain CCNA Certification

To obtain CCNA certification, you must complete the Cisco CCNA 200301 test. Although there are no test prerequisites, Cisco advises that CCNA applicants have the following experience before taking the exam:

  • At least one year of experience using and implementing Cisco products and solutions,
  • IP Addressing Fundamentals,
  • Networking Fundamentals.
